Public Hearing
1. Open Public Hearing regarding the categorical fund flexibility transfers and program closures. Legislation enacted in 2009 provided districts with flexibility in the use of several previously restricted state categorical programs. The programs referred to as “Tier III” categorical programs are considered unrestricted funds and can be used for any educational purpose. In March of 2011, legislation was enacted that extended the flexibility for an additional two years through 2014/2015.
FRJUSD proposes to accept state categorical funds and will utilize the flexibility to transfer funds in the following Tier III categorical programs for use in any education purpose:
