PUBLIC COMMENT REGARDING OPEN SESSION

Opportunity for members of the public to address the Board. Note: 1) Individual speakers will be allowed three (3) minutes to address the Board. The maximum time allowed for each agenda item shall be 20 minutes. 2) Complaints presented to the Board must not involve specific reference to employees. Citizens should contact the Superintendent for complaint procedures regarding employees. 3) A school district cannot take action on a matter that has not been placed on the official agenda. (G.C. 54954.2)

CONSENT AGENDA

The consent agenda, if approved, will be recorded in the minutes, as if each item had been acted upon individually. Requests by members of the Board to have any item taken off the consent agenda for discussion will be honored without debate. Requests by the public to have an item taken off the consent agenda will be considered prior to the Board taking action.

5.2    Approval of Personnel Report and actions therein

 

5.3    Approval of Governing Board Commercial Warrant Report #6 (2012/2013)

  •  $157,553.93 General Fund
  •  $16,065.23 Cafeteria/Food Service Fund
  • $121,015.39 Payroll Clearing Fund

 

5.4    Approval of Williams Quarterly Report

  •  No complaints were filed with any school in the district during the period of October 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012

 

5.5    Approve contract for Services with Compliance Associates for 2013

  • Compliance Associates, Inc., a California Corporation for consulting and maintenance services for controlled substance and alcohol testing
  • Pre-employment testing as required under 49 CFR Part 382
  • Random Draw on a quarterly basis

 

5.6    Approve June 30, 2012 Audit Report from Matson and Isom Certified Public Accounts

 

5.7    Approval of Single Plans for Student Achievement

5.8    Accept the following donations:

  •  $500.00 from Don Tucker through the P G & E Corporation Campaign for the Community on behalf of Fall River Elementary
  •  $60.00 from Linda Corr for iPad Apps on behalf of Fall River Elementary

 

5.9    Receive Annual Certification Regarding Workers’ Compensation

  •  Pursuant to EC 42141, each member district shall advise its Governing Board if there is an estimated unfunded liability for Workers’ Compensation
  •  The Shasta-Trinity Schools Insurance Group JPA does have total assets sufficient to pay the Workers’ Compensation self-insured claims and therefore has no unfunded liabilities

6.1 Resolution 7-2012/2013: Authorization to Submit Application for New Bus

 

6.2 Proposed Revision to 2012-2013 School Calendar

  •  December 21, 2012 to be a non student attendance day
  •  May 17, 2013 to be a staff development day/non student attendance day
  • 179 days of Student attendance

 

6.3 Consider Request for the Issuance of a Provisional Internship Permit

 

6.4 Resolution 8-2012/2013: Authorizing the Compensation of Board Member for Meeting Absence

  • Trustee Oller missed the December 12, 2012 meeting
