IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM SUPERINTENDENT HAWKINS

Good Evening Students, Parents, and the community of the Fall River Joint Unified School District.
This is Superintendent Greg Hawkins calling. This message is in regards to an incident which occurred at Fall River High School last Thursday. It was brought to the school’s attention that a student was making inappropriate comments in regards to the recent Florida high school shooting. This information was immediately passed on
to the Shasta County Sheriff’s department who fully
investigated the allegations. The officer reported that he found no credible threat.
According to California Ed Code, we are not allowed to discuss the discipline of students; please be assured that proper measures were taken.
We understand and appreciate our community’s concern and want you to know that all threats will be thoroughly vetted and dealt with.
The school would like to commend the students who stepped  forward with this information. The well being of our children is our absolute top priority and it takes everyone working together to ensure the safety of our students.
All District schools will be in session as usual tomorrow.
